Mahindra’s Milestone Moment: Over 200,000 EVs Sold and Launches New Customer Program

On November 6, 2024— Mahindra Last Mile Mobility Limited (MLMML), a subsidiary of Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M), has crossed a significant milestone, becoming India’s top commercial electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer with over 200,000 electric vehicles sold. As the leading name in India's small commercial EV sector, MLMML has consistently driven innovation and customer satisfaction, carving out an impressive 41.2% market share in the L5 category.

Mahindra has long championed electrification, especially within the three-wheeler segment, with noteworthy growth in the L5 sector. EV penetration in the L5 segment has seen a considerable rise, from 7.6% in FY23 to an impressive 21.7% as of FY25, according to data from Vahan. MLMML’s latest offerings, such as the Treo Plus, e-Alfa Plus, and the newly introduced Mahindra ZEO, have significantly contributed to this growth, with the company selling over 100,000 EVs in the last 17 months alone.

To accommodate increasing demand, Mahindra has ramped up production at its advanced facilities in Bengaluru, Haridwar, and Zaheerabad. This strategic move ensures MLMML can continue meeting customer needs as the shift to sustainable transportation accelerates.

To celebrate this significant milestone, MLMML has introduced the UDAY NXT Loyalty Program, an enhanced customer-centric initiative aimed at supporting EV buyers. New customers purchasing a Mahindra EV will benefit from ₹20 lakh driver accidental insurance cover, along with access to resources such as career counselling for their children and business/finance guidance.

Building on the success of the original UDAY program, UDAY NXT incorporates customer feedback and emerging needs to offer even greater value. This loyalty program is designed to ensure that Mahindra's customers feel supported well beyond their initial purchase, reinforcing MLMML’s commitment to customer care and holistic support.

Launch of Mahindra ZEO in the <2 Tonne Category

In response to evolving market demands, MLMML has expanded its portfolio to include the Mahindra ZEO, a cutting-edge electric four-wheeler designed for small commercial use in the sub-2-tonne segment. This addition reinforces Mahindra’s commitment to providing a broad, technologically advanced range of EVs that cater to both passenger and cargo needs.

The full product lineup also includes Treo range, e-Alfa series, and Zor Grand, establishing MLMML as a leading provider in India’s last-mile mobility market.
