New Holland has manufactured its two millionth tractor from its Basildon plant in England. The tractor giant has also completed 60 years of its operations and has become one of the few companies to achieve this milestone.
The milestone tractor to become the 2 millionth unit is the T7.225 which belongs to the most popular T7 models. To celebrate the feat the tractor has been given candy blue body panels. There is also a 2,000,000 Basildon Tractors logo with a New Holland leaf bonnet top. The tractor is draped in blue wheel rims with candy blue rim edges along with the New Holland silver and black graphics featuring the Union Jack flag of the United Kingdom.
The Basildon factory started its operation in 1964 and worked on the production of the 37-65hp Ford 6X tractor series. The first tractors to be manufactured were 2000 Dexta, 3000 Super Dexta, 4000 Major, and 5000 Super Major models.
There were around 100,000 tractors that were produced within two years of operations. These tractors were later known as the ‘Pre-Force’ series. The factory went on to manufacture its 250,000th tractor in the next year.
New Holland produced its 500,000th tractor in the year 1984. A new Q-cabbed Series 10 range was introduced comprising 44hp 2610 to 116hp 8210 models. After 25 years of its operations in 1989, the company produced its one-millionth tractor with the introduction of special edition Silver Jubilee 7810 tractors.

Now in 2024, the company has completed the milestone of 2 millionth tractor. The New Holland has evolved over the years with exports done in various parts of the world. They have also focused on the production of new models that run on alternate fuels such as methane and CNG.
